January 2006

Diamond Hill Station and Willie Roy will be sharing the bill for a live pre-record of The Fields of Bluegrass Radio Hour, the first Friday in January. The show will air the last Friday in January and both bands will be given a recording of both their performances in it's entirety, as well as the final edit as it will air.

Admission will be $5 at the door and kids under 12 are free. I work on a volunteer basis and Meridian Music donates use of the hall for promotional consideration, so the bands will get 100% of the door in a 50/50 split. Munger Hall, Meridian;s 2nd floor recital hall is a 90-seat room with excellent acoustics and a "listening room" atmosphere. There is a 16-channel Machie PA and the snake comes up from a trap door in the center of the stage. Two suspended speakers directly over the stage eliminate the need for monitors.
